About the Helly Hansen brand
The Norwegian brand Helly Hansen was founded in 1877. Currently, a clothing company based in Oslo is managed by Paul Stoneham. The founder of the brand was Helly Juell Hansen, born in 1840, who opened as the first clothing factory to provide protection against rain. Why? From an early age, he sailed on the sea as a shipboard, later becoming a captain. The brand has not changed its main branch. To this day, Helly Hansen manufactures rain-protective and windproof clothing. In their extensive collection we will find typical sailing clothes, but also winter, ski, climbing clothes, etc. High quality clothing and modern Helly Hansen solutions have put them on the path of one of the most popular brands in their branch. Below we present the Helly Hansen size chart for men, women and children.

The history of the Helly Hansen brand
Helly Hansen is a Norwegian brand, founded in 1877, when Captain Helly Juell Hansen wanted to take better care of his sailors. To provide greater protection against adverse weather conditions, he applied linseed oil on cotton canvas and thus created the first waterproof clothing ever. Then, together with his wife Margarethe, they began to produce pants jackets and oil-coated jackets. They already received the first prize for their achievements in 1878 at the World Expo in Paris. In 1949, a new Helox waterproof fabric was created, which contained a thin PVC sheet that was sewn into coats to make them waterproof. This was another success of the new Helly Hansen brand presented this time at the Helsinki Olympic Games in 1952. The 70s was the development of thermoactive underwear. HH has introduced the innovative Lifa® material that wicks moisture away from the body, providing pleasant comfort, warmth and convenience even during intense exercise. The following years were the rapid development of the brand, new materials were created, including Helly Tech® (1984) and HH®Warm ™, which in combination with merino wool will be perfect on cold days. The Helly Hansen brand has won many awards, and its popularity is increasing every year. Currently, HH clothing is available in 40 countries around the world.
