Converse is a clothing company founded in the American town of Malden (60,000 inhabitants) that has a very recognizable logo (a star). Converse manufactures such shoe models as Chuck Taylor All Star (women’s and men’s sneakers), Jack Purcell (stylish sneakers), or One Star (sneakers with a star). Interestingly enough, they were the first ones to appear on the basketball arenas. Currently, the brand has been taken over entirely and is dependent on Nike.

Asterisk - the history of a logo
The sign of the Converse brand is an asterisk inscribed in a circle. This sign was promoted by an excellent basketball player, Charles Chuck H. Taylor. The basketball player in question was a member of the Akron Firestone and the Buffalo Germans. Charles was so involved in the promotion of Converse that he even decided to make it his full-time job. The attachment to the brand and the talent of the seller quickly yielded some remarkable results, for in 1923, the company introduced the Converse model named after him - Chuck Taylor All Star. This model, alongside Jack Purcell and One Star, is one of the flagship products of the brand.
Style and comfort combined
One of the distinguishing features of Converse shoes is the harmonious combination of the best style and the highest level of comfort. Sports footwear signed with the already famous logo can be successfully worn on a daily basis to complement many stylizations - from sports, through streetwear outfits, up to casual clothing sets. Converse classic sneakers with a low or a high top fit tracksuits, denim jeans, checkered shirts, as well as women's skirts made of knitted fabric worn together with a female cardigan.
